On November 13 – 14, 2021 the delegation of the Embassy of Ukraine in the People’s Republic of China and Consulate General of Ukraine in Shanghai paid a working visit to the city of Hangzhou at the invitation of the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology.

Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine Ms. Zhanna Leshchynska and Consul General of Ukraine in Shanghai Mr. Artem Pushkin visited the facilities of the Paton Welding Technology Research Institute in Zhejiang Province and met with its leadership and local government officials to discuss the current state and prospects of Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation in the field of electric welding.

On November 14, the Ukrainian diplomats took part in the opening ceremony of the Sino-Ukrainian Bilateral Science and Technology Exchange Conference, held as part of the World Young Scientists Summit 2021.

In her address to the participants of the event, Zhanna Leshchynska stressed the importance of developing a strategic partnership between Ukraine and China, in particular in the field of science and technology, and wished Ukrainian and Chinese scientists success in their joint work.

The Charge d’Affaires presented a certificate of a foreign academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to Mr. Feng Changen, Director of the Paton Welding Technology Research Institute in Zhejiang Province, China, and accompanied by the Consul General of Ukraine in Shanghai Mr. Artem Pushkin took part in the opening ceremony of the Center of Advanced Welding Technologies.
