On 11 January 2012 the Embassy of Ukraine to China on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of establishment of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the People’s Republic of China held state reception at the Beijing Kempinski Hotel.

Mr.Yurii Kostenko, Ukrainian Ambassador to China, in his address emphasized active dynamics of development of bilateral relations and practical cooperation in all spheres, underlying in this context the special meaning of declared in June 2011 by President of Ukraine H.E. Mr. Viktor Yanukovych and President of the People’s Republic of China H.E. Mr. Hu Jintao the qualitatively new level of relations – strategic partnership.

Mr. Chen Guoping, the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, conveyed to the guests and participants of the event his greetings on the occasion of the jubilee and highly evaluated the level of mutual understanding, political trust, underlying China’s commitment to actively develop fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation with Ukraine.

The representatives of Chinese ministries and institutions, CEO of corporations and leaders of non-governmental organizations, mass-media, culture and scientists and artists, as well as ambassadors and diplomats, accredited in China attended state reception.
