On May 27, 2010 the Ambassador of Ukraine to the People’s Republic of China Yurii Kostenko held a meeting with Director-General of the Department of East European and Central Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Zhang Xiyun.

The participants of the meeting discussed the ways to realize the agreements reached by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and President of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao at their meeting in Washington, DC, on April 12, 2010, as well as during the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Yang Jiechi to Ukraine (May 18-20, 2010).

The Chinese Side highly appreciated the results of the recent visit to our country by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.

Both sides also exchanged views on the schedule of the Ukrainian-Chinese political contacts at the highest level for 2010.
