On the invitation of the Committee on education of Chaoyang district of Beijing municipality H.E.Mr. Yuriy Kostenko took part in festivities devoted to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Wonharo primary school of Beijing.

Being well known in Chinese capital the children’s institution maintains creative and artistic links with a number of diplomatic representations of foreign countries in China, including the Embassy of Ukraine to the PRC. For example, pupils of the school attended events organized with the Embassy’s partnership, i.e. in the Exhibition of facsimile copies of Taras Shevchenko’s etchings, in regular ceremonies of laying flowers to Taras Shevchenko monument in Chaoyang park by the Ambassador of Ukraine to China as well as in children’s art exhibitions in Beijing, including those with the participation of the Ukrainian young artists.
