On 27 November 2015, the Embassy of Ukraine in the People’s Republic of China commemorated victims of the man-made famine (Holodomor) that befell in Ukraine1932-1933.

     The Embassy’s staff and their families, representatives of the Ukrainian community and students in Beijing took part in the event.

     Mr.Oleg Dyomin, the Ambassador of Ukraine to China, addressed the gathering, presenting his assessment of those tragic events in the history of Ukraine.

     Memory of millions of Ukrainians who died as a consequence of organized by the Soviet regime genocide was honored with a minute of silence. Participants of the action lit up the candles to commemorate the memory of millions of innocent fellow countrymen killed by the artificial hunger.
