On April 27, 2016 during his visit to China Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin held negotiations with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi.
The Chinese Side reiterated its support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. The parties expressed confidence of the deepening the strategic relations between Ukraine and China does not depend on third parties.
The Ministers agreed the schedule of the next bilateral contacts, particularly the preparation of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Chinese Commission.
The Sides discussed practical steps for gradual liberalization of visa regime between the two states.
During the meeting the state and prospects of implementation of joint infrastructure projects were also discussed.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi expressed his support for Ukraine’s participation in the realization of the Chinese initiative “One Belt – One Road”.
The Sides noted the common positions on the need for UN Security Council’s reform for strengthening of its effective role in the modern world conditions.
