On May 11, 2016 a press conference of a number of Chinese media, whose representatives visited Ukraine with the assistance of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in the framework of the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant accident, was held in the premises of the Embassy of Ukraine in the People’s Republic of China.

The main attention was focused on overcoming consequences of the mankind’s largest technogenic catastrophe, as well as the follow-up of the recent activities in Ukraine in connection with the 30th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of travel agencies of China interested in cooperation with Ukraine, in particular in launching of tours to Pripyat, given the increasing popularity of our country among the Chinese citizens. Those present also exchanged their views on the tourist potential of Ukraine. In this context, the Chinese media representatives expressed their admiration of our state’s beauty and the hospitality of Ukrainians.
