On July 5-7, 2016 on the basis of Harbin Institute of Technology, under the support of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, the National Academy of Sciences and Technology Academy of Ukraine, with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in China, the 2nd scientific and technical forum of scientists of Ukraine and China was held.

During the forum which was held under the slogan "A new future - a new idea of the Silk Road", more than 80 Ukrainian scientists have demonstrated to Chinese colleagues prospective areas for scientific cooperation in the fields of materials science, space technologies, radiolocation, etc. Harbin Institute of Technology is one of leading Chinese universities, which also occupies the 7th place in the world ranking of technical universities.
