In the framework of the development of cooperation between the Embassy and fine art circles of China, including the Academy of Painting and Calligraphy of the Ministry of Culture of the PRC,H.E.Mr. Yuriy Kostenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to the PRC, took part and had a floor in the presentation of cultural and fine arts projects as well as in a discussion concerning further cooperation in art sphere.

In his congratulatory speech the Head of the diplomatic representation of Ukraine to China expressed his satisfaction with stable and diversified development of cooperation between the Embassy and the Academy which includes joint art exhibitions of different framework and topics, common publishing, appreciation of the best artists etc.

Mr. Li Baolin, the Academy’s president, while presenting its international events organized in France, Holland and Belgium during the 1st half of the year 2012, expressed his expectations on the Ukrainian party’s support of cooperation between the Academy’s artists with their Ukrainian colleagues.

The parties outlined preparatory measures in implementation of joint project on art and poetry album publication. Mrs. Liudmyla Skyrda, a famous Ukrainian poetess, and the Academy’s artists will join the project. Both parties also discussed the possibility of organizing some other cultural events in the 1st half of the year 2012.
