On January 18, 2018 a solemn event dedicated to Ukraine's Unity Day was held in Beijing.

Opening the historic remembrance evening, Ambassador of Ukraine to China Oleg Dyomin stressed the great political and historical significance of the union of Ukrainian People's Republic and Western Ukrainian People's Republic to form a unified Ukrainian state. Today in the view of the Russian aggression against our country  the question of Ukraine's unity is no less important. Thus, the main efforts of the Ukrainian government and our invincible people are focused on maintaining the united and indivisible Ukraine.

The participants in the event viewed topical documentary movie "Symbols of our will" about political events during 1918-1919 in Ukraine.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ukrainian community who came from different parts of our country, including Odesa, Kharkiv, Lugansk, Dnipro, Vinnitsa, Khmelnitsky, etc.
