An opening ceremony of Children’s Art Exhibition was held at the Embassy of Ukraine to China on May 5, 2012, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and China.

In his address to the audience H.E.Mr. Yuriy Kostenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to China, appreciated creativity of young artists-participants of the Exhibition, expressed gratitude to the Children’s Arts Association of China for selection of works for the exhibiting and to teachers and parents of children – for their active participation in the Exhibition preparatory work.

In his speech Mr. Lu Haiyan, president of the Association, spoke about efforts of the Exhibition organizers to push up bilateral cooperation and his belief, that children’s fine arts exchanges will go on for the sake of the development of relations of cooperation and friendship existing between peoples of Ukraine and China.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of China artists association, principals of local schools of fine arts, organizers of Xian international art exhibition for youth and children, members of the diplomatic representation of Ukraine in China, children of diplomats, reporters of Ukrainian and Chinese media.
