On 23rd February 2012 in the Zhejiang Normal University (Jinhua, Zhejiang Province) at the initiative of Embassy of Ukraine to China a ceremonial evening took place on the occasion of the 20th anniversary ofestablishment of diplomatic relationsbetween Ukraine and China.

Addressing to the participants of the evening, Mr.Wu Fengmin,President of the Zhejiang Normal University, told about 15 years of cooperation of this leading Chinese pedagogic University with Ukrainian partners, especially with the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University

Analyzing a development of the bilateral cooperation between our countries, H.E. Mr. Yurii Kostenko, Ambassador of Ukraine, stressed on substantial improvements in relations with China after State Visit to this country of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in 2010 and on achievement of the strategic partnership with this leading country in the previous year.

Academician Leonid Hubersky,Rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, in his speech at ceremonial evening noted significant achievements in educational sphere between Ukraine and China and in activities of Confucius Institute in his University.

H.E. Mr. Zhao Xidi, Ambassador of China, confirmed Chinese diplomacy readiness for further fruitful and dynamic development of Sino-Ukrainian relations and for realization of agreements, achieved during State Visit to Ukraine of President of China Hu Jintao in June 2011.

The ceremonial evening was concluded by a gala concert. Chinese students have performed some Ukrainian melodies.
