Honoring the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine the Ukrainian diplomats, their family members and representatives of the Ukrainian community in Beijing held a mourning ceremony on November 24, 2018 at the Embassy’s premises.
In his speech Ambassador of Ukraine in China Oleg Dyomin recalled the causes and outcomes of the Holodomor in Ukraine. He also urged to remember millions of innocent victims of the Great Famine in order to commemorate them and to realize that there is no alternative to an ongoing struggle of the Ukrainian nation for its dignity and freedom.
In memory of all victims killed by devastating Holodomor of 1932-1933, the participants observed a one-minute silence and lit candles.
