On December 27, 2018, the Embassy of Ukraine in China welcomed the representatives of the Silk Road Cities Alliance and the Chinese International Art and Business Alliance.

 

In his opening speech Ambassador of Ukraine to China Oleg Dyomin underlined the importance of enhancing Ukraine-China cooperation in cultural and investment spheres within the implementation of the Silk Road Initiative and outlined the plans and further prospects for bilateral interaction. 

 

The Ukrainian diplomats introduced the Ukraine’s huge potential for investments and tourism. The information about Ukrainian culture, customs and traditions was of special interest for the Chinese guests. The representative of the International Airlines of Ukraine in Beijing focused on the advantages of the new aircraft Boeing 777-200ER purchased for  Beijing-Kyiv direct flight.

 

The meeting ended with Ukrainian traditional Christmas carrols performed by Ukrainian kids.

 

With support of the Ukrainian Embassy and Chinese bloggers the event was live streamed in Chinese social networks. It was for the first time that Ukraine-related content in China's social networks had over 120 000 blog viewers.
