On 12 June 2019,the Third Meeting of the Subcomission on Cooperation in the Field of Education between Ukraine and China of the Commission for Cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of Chinawas held in Nanchang, Jiangxi province, China. Mr. Roman Hreba, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Mr. Sun Yao, Deputy Minister of Education of China, chaired the meeting.

As a result of the event,the Protocol of the Third Subcomission Meeting was signed. During the meeting the Plan of priority measures for the development of Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation in the field of education for 2019-2021, which identified priority areas of bilateral educational cooperation for both countries,also was approved.

On the same day, Forum of presidents of Ukrainian and Chinese universities with the participation of 12 universities from Ukraine and 20 from China,was held in Nanchang.During the Forum a number of cooperation agreements between the universities of Ukraine and China were signed.

In particular, the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" and Nanchang Aviation University signed an agreement, according to which the teachers and students exchange and the training of Chinese students in Ukrainewill begin next academic year.Representative office of the Ukrainian University in the Chinese University also was established.
