On 15 September 2011, in Beijing’s Chaoyang Park the Embassy of Ukraine in China participated in the Charity Bazaar “Love knows no borders”, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

An colourful Ukrainian corner with national food, books and wood handcrafts has drawn attention of many foreign and Chinese participants including Chinese Minister for Foreign Affairs Yang Jiechi and his wife Le Aimei.

The Embassy of Ukraine has transfered an amount of 12 200 RMB (about 2000 USD) raised during this year’s Bazaar to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

The money collected from this year’s charity sale will be used to renovate the poor mountain villages in Yunnnan province of China.

About 70 foreign embassies in Beijing took part in this year’s Charity Bazaar.
