The Ukrainian delegation consisted of leading experts of scientific centers of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in particular, the Institute of Electric Welding named after E.O. During the Forum, Ukrainian scientists presented prospective R@D projects in the areas of “Advanced welding technologies”, “Production and processing of new materials”, Advanced technologies in ecology and energy”, “Advanced technologies and materials in medicine” and signed a number of agreements.
During negotiations with the leadership of Henan province and the cities of Zhengzhou and Sanmenxia, Ukrainian diplomats noted that Ukraine is ready to develop scientific and technical cooperation with China on the principles of transparent and mutually beneficial partnership. One of the prospective ways of such cooperation is the establishing of joint research and production centers on the territory of Ukraine and China which would create modern technologies by Chinese funding.
Chinese scientists were warned about the negative consequences of contacts with institutions on the temporarily occupied territories of the Crimea and Donbass, in particular, it was noted that such contacts would be regarded by Ukraine as cooperation with the occupation authorities that violates Ukrainian laws and contradicts the official position of China as to the support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
