As part of systematic efforts to promote Ukrainian products on the Chinese market and to present export and investment potential of our country, the Embassy for the first time organised the ‘Pavilion of Ukrainian Products’ at the 10th ‘China – South Asia Exposition’, held in Kunming (Yunnan) from June 11 to 16, with representatives from 68 countries and regions all over the world participated in the Exposition this year.
Chinese importers of Ukrainian food products joined the stand’s activities, including Shanghai Dnipro E-commerce Co., Ltd. (TM VERES); Roshen (Shanghai) Food Co., Ltd. (TM ROSHEN); Tianjin Gaia International Trade Co., Ltd (TM OBOLON), as well as Ukrainian companies Chornomor Moreprodukt LLC, Odesavynprom PJSC, SNACK FAMILY LLC and the U-FOOD Association. Visitors of our booth had the opportunity to discover Ukrainian food products (confectionery, jams, marinated champignons, beer), souvenirs, as well as promotional materials of Ukrainian manufacturers. The stand of Ukrainian products received an award from the exhibition organisers.
Representatives of the Embassy also took part in an online broadcast organised by Yunnan Provincial Television, where they presented the main achievements and prospects for the development of Ukrainian-Chinese relations and, together with representatives of import companies, presented advantages of Ukrainian food products to Chinese consumers. This broadcast has already been viewed by almost 22 million viewers.
To promote the opportunities of trade, economic and investment partnership with Ukraine among Chinese business community, the Embassy organised a round-table discussion ‘Economy of Ulkraine: Current Challenges and New Opportunities’, attended by A.A. Serhiienko, Minister-Counsellor (Commercial and Economic) of the Embassy of Ukraine. Guests of the discussion had the opportunity to learn about the main trends in Ukraine’s economic development and the government’s support programmes for foreign investors. Meanwhile, CEO of Chinese import companies shared their own experiences of cooperation with Ukrainian manufacturers and their plans for promoting Ukrainian products on the Chinese market.
