As a result of persistent efforts of the Embassy, the first batch of "CoronaVac" vaccines against COVID-19, produced by the Chinese company Sinovac Biotech, was sent to Ukraine on March 25, 2021.

This inactivated vaccine has passed all stages of clinical trials that officially confirmed its effectiveness and safety. Currently, the vaccine has been successfully used to protect the population in China, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Turkey, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and other countries.

On March 10, the vaccine was approved for use by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Sinovac Biotech was founded in 1999, becoming a world leader in the development and production of various types of vaccines (hepatitis A and B, chickenpox, H5N1 avian influenza, H1N1 swine flu, enteroviruses, etc.).
