On October 15, 2022, the Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian Day event dedicated to Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian friendship was held in the the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beijing. The event was co-organised by embassies of Ukraine, Poland and of Lithuania.
The welcoming speech was delivered by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the PRC Wojciech Zajączkowski.
The Chargée d'Affaires a.i. of Ukraine Zhanna Leshchynska also delivered a speech, expressing deep gratitude towards the peoples of Poland and Lithuania for their support and assistance to Ukraine during the full-scale aggression of the russian federation against our country.
The letter from the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the PRC Diana Mickevičienė was read out by the Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the People's Republic of China Maija Manika.
Over 150 guests, including diplomats from the EU countries, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian, Polish and Lithuanian diaspora participated in the event.
During the event, Ukrainian musicians, bandura player Mariana Klymukh and violinist Olga Vedmedenko, performed famous Ukrainian, Polish and Lithuanian folk songs, as well as compositions by the nations’ prominent composers. In addition, the guests had the opportunity to enjoy an exhibition of posters dedicated to the development of trilateral friendly relations between the countries during the full-scale war of the russian federation against Ukraine.
