During his visit to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region, Ambassador of Ukraine to China Olexander Nechytaylo held a series of meetings with representatives of local business circles. During these meetings, the Ambassador provided detailed information on the current situation in Ukraine and the prospects for international businesses to participate in Ukraine’s post-war recovery.
Local business representatives expressed significant interest and readiness to begin working on the development of long-term investment plans in various sectors of Ukraine’s economy.
The Ambassador also met with Mr. Algernon Yau Ying-wah, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Ukraine and Hong Kong, particularly in the trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres. The readiness to develop cooperation in education and cultural exchanges was confirmed.
A meeting was also held with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Hong Kong.
