On March 17th the Embassy of Ukraine in the People’s Republic of China and the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of the Liaoning province held a joint online-seminar to further support the positive trend of bilateral trade between Ukraine and China and encourage Ukrainian exporting companies’ presence on the Chinese market.

11 Ukrainian and Chinese companies (48 in general), representing mostly food and agriproduction sector, took part in the event. This type of products constitutes a major part of Ukrainian exports to China or about 3,5 billions of USD. During the seminar, the participants were informed of the advantages provided by the Liaoning province free trade area regaring the customs clearance of imported products as well as exchanged their contact information for further B2B dialogue.

The Sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Council of Exporters and Investors under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Liaoning Sub Council. The document establishes the key priorities for cooperation of business promoting agencies of both countries.
The online-seminar served as a key event of the Embassy’s work in the first quarter of 2021 aimed at securing Ukrainian companies’ interests in China, who seek for the export-promotion assistance by the Council of Exporters and Investors under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
