On March 5^th, 2013, with the purpose to activate the informational exchanges among culture and artistic circles and media of China and to encourage their efforts in strengthening cultural cooperation in 2013, “The Beauty of Ukrainian Folk Dance” cultural event was held at the Embassy of Ukraine to China.

Addressing the event Dr.Vasyl Gamianin, Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine to the People's Republic
of China, emphasized on the importance of mutual cultural cooperation between institutions in Ukraine and China against the backdrop of fast development of their strategic cooperation, and expressed his hope that its participants will pay more efforts in realization of mutual projects in cultural sphere in 2013, first of all the organization of tours of the Ukrainian groups and their participation in international art festivals to be held in China.

When taking the floor some top representatives of art-management corporations and artistic tour companies as well as offices of art festivals (incl. opera, ballet and folk dance ones), theatres and educational institutions stressed on the consolidation of contacts with the Ukrainian partners.

At the event promo-materials on Virskiy National Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of Ukraine, Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonics of  Ukraine, the ballet troupe of Odesa National Opera House, “Verbychenka” Folkdance Ensemble were represented along with comments made by the Ukrainian and Chinese dance arts experts. During the presentation the booklets about the Ukrainian art groups’ tours-2013 were released among the guests.

The representatives of the Ministry of Culture of China, central and special media and students of choreography classes of some Beijing schools attended the event.
