On 2 August, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Mr. Cheng Guoping visited the premises of the Embassy of Ukraine in China and conveyed deep sympathy and condolences over loss of life of Ukrainian miners in the tragic accidents in Bazhanov mine and  «Sukhodilska-Skhidna»  coal mine.

During the meeting Ambassador of Ukraine to China Mr. Yurii Kostenko expressed to the Chinese Side gratitude for the world of sympathy and support.

The sides underlined the mutual wish to develop the relations of strategic partnership, established during the state visit to Ukraine of the President of China Mr. Hu Jintao in June this year. In this context the plan of further bilateral contacts for the nearest period was discussed. As it was noted, the active contacts on different levels will help to maintain high dynamics of political dialogue and to widen the practical cooperation between Ukraine and China.
