On February 14 2014, H.E. Mr.Oleg Dyomin, Ambassador of Ukraine to China, visited China Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) in Beijing. During his meeting with Mr. Ji Zhiye, the President of CICIR,  parties exchanged views on current situation and prospects of Sino-Ukrainian strategic partnership development. Mr. Ji Zhiye briefed the Ambassador on the scientific activities of CICIR, its cooperation with Ukrainian research centres. Mr.O.Dyomin emphasized on the importance and interest of Ukraine to deepen cooperation between think-tanks in order to strengthen mutual trust and understanding between the two countries.

The meeting resulted at preliminary agreement on organising the roundtable discussion with the participation of Ukrainian and Chinese scholars on the ways of developing bilateral cooperation. Researchers of CICIR and diplomats of the Embassy of Ukraine in China took part in the meeting.
