During his working visit to Ulaanbaatar, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Mongolia with residence in Beijing H.E. Mr. Yurii Kostenko held meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia H.E. Mr. Gombojav Zandanshatar.

The Ambassador conveyed his greetings on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Mongolia. Both sides discussed some achievements in fulfilment of the agreements reached between two leaders during their meeting in June 2011, including this year’s schedule of exchange of and high level visits as well as some aspects of bilateral relations.

During the meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mrs. M.Oyunchimeg and its General Secretary Mr. E.Oyuuntegsh the issue of establishment of Joint Business Council and the prospects of expanding trade contacts between Ukraine and Mongolia were also discussed. The representatives of the Kharkiv Tractor Plant, CJSC “Obolon” and heads of regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Mongolia took part in the meeting.

Besides, by the Decree of President of Mongolia dated January 26, 2012, “for significant contribution into development of friendly relations between Ukraine and Mongolia” Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Yurii Kostenko was awarded with the “Polar Star” Order. The Award was presented by the Head of the Presidential Administration of Mongolia D. Battulga in the Government House.
