On March 30-31, 2011 during the visit to the city of Jiamusi (Heilongjiang Province) the Ambassador of Ukraine to the People’s Republic of China Yurii Kostenko participated in the solemn opening ceremony of the agricultural machinery fair.

The issues of mutual cooperation between this rich with the black earth (chernozem) Province of the northeastern China and its sister-regions of Luhansk, Donetsk and Zhytomyr were discussed during his meetings with Lu Weifeng, Vice-Governor of the Province, Lin Xiushang, Secretary of Municipal People’s Congress of Jiamusi, and Sun Zhe, Mayor of Jiamusi. In particular, they agreed to exchange delegations of the producers of agricultural products and machinery, and to establish new fruitful inter-regional relations.
