Ukrainian delegation took part in the International Forum on Chinese traditional martial art Baguazhang, held in Beijing on October 25, 2014. The forum brought together renowned martial artists and fans of Baguazhang from around the world.

    Ukrainian delegation was headed by Mr. Mu Yuchun, the President of the Ukrainian Association of Chinese Traditions and Culture, Honorary President of the Ukrainian Association of Shuaijiao and Shoubo. Mr. Mu Yuchun spent years promoting shoubo and baguazhang in Ukraine, his numerous students had achieved excellent results at the World and European Championships held within recent years.

    Ukrainian delegation presented a gift to representatives of the Federation and the Research Society of Baguazhang of China - a portrait of Mr. Dong Haichuan (1813-1882), a founder master of baguazhang, painted by famous Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Tovkaylo.

    At the forum Ukrainian delegates got acquainted with masters of Baguazhang from China and reeched agreements on further development of martial arts in Ukraine and the visit of the Chinese delegation to Ukraine in the near future.
