On 4-5 November 2014 a series of events on commemorating and popularization of experience of outstanding Ukrainian teacher and innovator Mr. Vasyl Suhomlynskii was held in Beijing with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in China.

     On 4^th November a reading room named after Vasyl Suhomlynskii and his monument were opened in Yuquan primary school of Beijing. The direction and teachers of this school (like in many other Chinese schools) widely use the ideas of prominent Ukrainian teacher in their educational activities.

     On 5^th November a book "Learning experience of V.O.Suhomlynskii" was presented in Beijing by publishing house "People Education". The book contains his selected works which have been translated into Chinese. The participants  shared their views and experiences on the use of methods of the outstanding Ukrainian teacher in Chinese educational institutions.

     Ukrainian delegation headed by Mrs. Olha Suhomlynska, daughter of Ukrainian teacher, and the representative of the Ukrainian Embassy also visited the Beijing Normal University and the Beijing Jiaotong University where met with students and the universities’ staff.
