International online news (reporter Li Xin) reports, on May 30th Ukrainian Ambassador in Beijing, Oleg Dyomin said that Ukraine will continue to develop friendly relations with China and promote successful implementation of security and economic cooperation agreements that were signed before.
During the press conference announcing the results of the Presidential election, the Ukrainian Ambassador to China Oleg Dyomin introduced the election results at first. He said that the Presidential election held on May 25th went very smoothly and Mr.Poroshenko was elected as the new President of Ukraine. Commenting on the new government’s policy towards China, Oleg Dyomin pointed out that the newly elected president hopes to continue developing friendly relations and cooperation with China, especially in the areas of mutually beneficial cooperation in economy and trade. The Ukrainian side pays great importance to the idea of creation the "Silk Road economic zone" proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
In addition, the Ambassador stressed that Ukraine will overcome the difficulties and facilitate the smooth implementation of mutual trade and economic cooperation agreements. Ukraine will also protect interests of Chinese investors concerning the signed agreements on developing Crimean region.
