In the city of Harbin (Heilongjiang province, the People`s Republic of China), the exhibitions of Ukrainian artists are being held.
On 21 May 2015, the exhibition of Ukrainian oil painting was inaugurated in Harbin art museum # 958. Co-sponsored by the Embassy of Ukraine in the People`s Republic of China, the People`s Government of Heilongjiang province, Province`s TV and Radio Company, the mentioned art museum, as well as the Heilongjiang Hua Yue Oriental Enterprise Consulting Management Co. LTD., the exhibition displays over 100 paintings of 30 modern Ukrainian artists.
The Vice-Governor of Heilongjiang province, the leadership of the Chancellery of Foreign Affairs of the Provincial People`s Government and Harbin City Mayor`s Office, as well as the Province`s TV and Radio company took part in the opening ceremony. The event has raised a broad public vivid interest, having gathered over 200 officials and people representing the Chinese culture, art, education circles, students` community, TV and radio journalists. The address of Ukraine`s Ambassador to the People`s Republic of China, Mr. Oleg Dyomin, to the participants of the exhibition was proclaimed at the ceremony.
The address, which was announced by Ukrainian Embassy`s Counsellor, Mr. Vsevolod Sobko, stated, inter alia, that “mutual study and intermingling of the Ukrainian and Chinese peoples` cultures, as well as human contacts between the two countries in general is the most important part of strategic partnership relations between Ukraine and the People`s Republic of China”.
On 24 May 2015, Harbin Business University Art Institute hosted the inauguration of the international art exhibition participated by the representatives of Ukraine, Mongolia, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation, and other countries. At the exhibition, Ukraine is represented by the paintings of the Ukrainian artist, Mrs. Olena Liu.
The above said exhibitions will last throughout June.
