According to the Embassy’s schedule of commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Ukrainian-Chinese diplomatic relations some outstanding citizens of the PRC and Chinese young talented artists were awarded for their contribution to the consolidation of Ukrainian-Chinese friendship, the promotion of bilateral culture and art interaction and recognized success achieved in fine arts.
During the awarding ceremony H.E.Mr. Yuriy Kostenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to China, having the authority of the Ukrainian MFA, bestowed Mr. Yuan Xikun, member of the Standing Committee of the People’s Political Consultative Conference of China and renowned Chinese artist, with the Certificate of Honor of the MFA of Ukraine.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to China highly appraised the contribution of this politician and artist to further development Ukrainian-Chinese culture links and his creation of the sculpture image of Taras Shevchenko in Beijing.
In appreciation of active efforts spent for the benefits of Ukrainian and Chinese people, deepening of friendship feelings between them as well as for their achievements in the Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation in different areas the Ambassador of Ukraine awarded renowned politicians and personalities of China, including those from the CPC Central Committee, NPC, NPCCC, MFA and other government departments, as well as leaders of civil organizations and representatives of the Academy of Sciences, and educational institutions of China.
Marking the International Children’s Day, H.E.Mr. Yuriy Kostenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to China, appreciated a number of young talents, who participated in Children’s Art Exhibition held in the Embassy of Ukraine on May, 2012. Some of their best paintings achieved high estimation of experts and local community. For their achievements they received the Certificates of Honor and the Ukrainian Ambassador’s Awards.
