On June 14, 2012 the Ambassador of Ukraine to China Yurii Kostenko had a meeting with the Vice-Mayor of the City of Dalian Ms. Zhu Chengqing during the visit to this industrial centre in the Northeast China.

The issues of ways of cooperation between Dalian and the Ukrainian partners in economics, education and culture spheres were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the saturation of concrete projects of cooperation between sister-cities Sevastopol - Dalian, and in the framework of the Agreement on cooperation between Dnepropetrovsk and Dalian cities, signed in 2007.

Ambassador of Ukraine has also visited Dalian University of Foreign Languages. He has discussed with Professor Sun Yuhua, President of the University, further activization of students’ and lecturers’ exchange between universities of two countries, creation of conditions for studying Ukrainian language in this University.

A well-known Ukrainian poetess Mrs. Liudmyla Skyrda has presented her book of poetry “Melodies of four seasons”, published in Beijing in Chinese language.
