On 18 September 2017, during the Made in China 2025 Intelligence Manufacturing High-end Forum, held in the framework of the 2017 China Lanzhou Science and High-Tech Achievement Expo, in Lanzhou, the administrative capital of Gansu province, took place the presentation of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NAS of Ukraine).

During the event, employee of the Embassy of Ukraine in the PRC informed the representatives of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lanzhou universities and the city administration about overall structure and priority directions of scientific researches of NAS of Ukraine. The particular interest of the Chinese audience was aroused by the work of Academy scientists in such fields of studies as aerospace, nanotechnology, nanomaterials, renewable energy etc.

In the framework of the forum talks with the Director of Lanzhou Science and Technology Bureau Mr. Wang Ning took place, during which the Parties agreed on joint steps to enhance cooperation between Lanzhou higher education institutions and universities of Ukraine.
