On November 9, 2017 in Beijing the 4^th Meeting of Ukrainian – Chinese Subcommision on Cooperation in the Cultural field was held under the co-chairmanship of the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine Mrs. Svitlana Fomenko and Minister Assistant (ranked as Deputy Minister) of Culture of the People's Republic of China Mr. Yu Qun.

The sides discussed the current state of the bilateral cultural cooperation and agreed specific ways of further development in this sphere. A special attention was paid to deepening of cooperation in media, publishing and cinematography, as well as preparation for the signing of Program of Cultural Cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China for 2018-2022.

As a result of the Meeting, an appropriate Protocol was signed.
