President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Ma Kai.
The Head of State emphasized that the visit of the Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine was very important for the development of Ukraine-China partnership.
The parties noted a constructive nature of the bilateral political dialogue, including at the highest level, as well as the need to maintain its high dynamics.
The Head of State drew attention to the importance of China’s adhering to the consistent position of respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. He urged the Chinese authorities to adhere to the policy of non-recognition of the temporary occupation of the Ukrainian Crimea by Russia. He is also hopeful for the constructive position of the Chinese side regarding the Ukrainian issues within the UN.
The Head of State positively evaluated the results of the third session of the Ukraine-China Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation held pursuant to the agreements reached with President of China Xi Jinping.
Ukraine's interest in the implementation of China’s initiative “One Belt, One Path” was confirmed, in which the priority is to involve China's technological capabilities and investments in Ukraine's transport infrastructure development.
Petro Poroshenko conveyed invitation to President of China Xi Jinping to make a visit to Ukraine.
