On March 7, 2018 the Ukrainian diplomats and their families, representatives of the Ukrainian community, as well as Chinese citizens honored the memory of the famous poet, writer and artist Taras Shevchenko.

A wreath-laying ceremony to the Kobzar’s monument was held in the central Chaoyan park, Beijing. The author of the Great Kobzar’s monument – a prominent artist of China – Yuan Xikun took part in the ceremony.
