On occasion of the 204^th anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevchenko, the Embassy of Ukraine joined the international felsh mob #GlobalShevchenko. At the initiative of the Embassy, students of Beijing Fang Caodi school recitated poems by the great poet of Ukraine near the monument of Taras Shevchenko in Chaoyang Park in Beijing.

The purpose of this action was to honor the memory of the prominent Ukrainian prophet and demonstrate his monuments installed all over the world, including in China. The event was attended by the author of the sculpture – a famous Chinese artist Yuan Xikun.
