On 24th April 2012 during his working visit to Shanghai Mr. Yurii Kostenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to China, held meeting with Mr. Han Zheng, Mayor of this Chinese megapolis. During the talks the Parties empasized the great contribution of Shanghai, one of the most influencial global trading and financial centres, in developing Ukraine-China strategic partnership. Ambassodor of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Shanghai Municipal People's Government for support of Ukrainian participation in „Expo–2010” as well as in the events, organized by the Consulate General of Ukraine in Shanghai, in particular “Ukrainian Culture Week”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two states.

Consul General of Ukraine in Shanghai Mr.Serhiy Burdyliak participated in the meeting.
