Embassy of Ukraine in the People’s Republic of China continues to actively support the centers for Ukrainian language studies in China`suniversities.

OnMay 11,2018,a representative of the Embassy met with Xi'an International Studies Universityteaches and students.

During conversation young Chinese citizens expressed their interest in Ukraine, its culture and traditions, and showedsignificant progress in learning Ukrainian language. Poems of Taras Shevchenko and the modern Ukrainian songwere very touching in their performance.

As a gift from the Embassy the students received aninformation series about Ukrainian history and culture and books about Taras Shevchenko and his "Kobzar" in Chinese.

 

Background: Ukrainian language Department in Xi'an International Studies University, Xian city, Shaanxi province, began operating in the 2017-2018 academic year. Now 18 Chinese studentslearn Ukrainian language here.
