On the 20-24th of July in Ulaanbaatar, the First secretary on consular issues of the Embassy of Ukraine in the People’s Republic of China, Liliia Samoilova, held a series of meetings with officials of the MFA of Mongolia, the Ukrainian community of the Mongolian capital, and Mongolian graduates of Ukrainian universities. In particular, during the dialogue with the adviser of the Treaty and Legal Department of the MFA of Mongolia, Mr. D. Unibillet, the progress on the draft Agreement between the Ukrainian and Mongolian governments on the Exemption of Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic, Service and Ordinary passports was discussed.
A round table discussion was held with the Ukrainian community of Mongolia, during which the issues of official registration of their union in Ulaanbatarar were considered and legal assistance was provided. In addition, an individual consular reception on questions of registration of passports of Ukrainian citizens for traveling abroad, notarial acts, reclamation and legalization of documents, pension problems, etc. was conducted.
At the initiative of the Embassy, a meeting was held with Mongolian activists and former graduates of the Ukrainian educational institutions of Lviv, Kyiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv, who are members of the NGOs "Ukrainian-Mongolian Friendship Association" and "Lviv Club". The issues of candidacy for the position of the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Mongolia were discussed separately.
