16 April, 2019 - Ambassador of Ukraine to China H.E.Mr. Oleg Dyomin visited the Ukrainian national stand at the Film Market of the 9th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF). This year the State Film Agency of Ukraine together with the Ukrainian Motion Picture Association presented the official stand of Ukraine showcasing the film industry of our country, its production facilities and the latest Ukrainian film projects. The stand will work until April 19.

Besides, Ambassador Oleg Dyomin took part in a special activity "Ukraine is Your Destination" presented by the Ukrainian Motion Picture Association, highlighting Ukrainian state film policy, key Ukrainian film market players, unique Ukrainian locations and cases of joint Ukraine-China projects. In his welcoming speech H.E. Mr.Oleg Dyomin named a joint film production as one of the most promising areas of Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation in the field of cinematography. "And the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of China on joint film production should create a necessary legal environment for such cooperation. Its draft is almost ready for signing," – the Ambassador added.

The Beijing International Film Festival is held annually with the support of the Chinese government and serves as the largest platform in the Asian region for contacts between film-makers: producers, distributors, buyers, sales agents, organizers of festivals and film markets. The 9^th BJIFF is dedicated to the 70^th anniversary year of the People’s Republic of China with a patriotic slogan "Home –Motherland"; its philosophy is "Beauty in Differences, Harmony in Diversity".
