Mr. Ihor Zhovkva, Chief of the Head Department for Foreign Policy and European Integration of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, is visiting Beijing as a member of the Ukrainian governmental delegation attending the Second High-level Dialogue of the One Belt, One Road Forum for International Cooperation.
On 25 April 2019, the Ukrainian high-ranking official held a meeting with Ms. Wang Min, a Deputy Director of the Ukraine-related Office of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
In the course of the meeting, the interlocutors have discussed the most burning issues of Ukraine – China relationship. The two Sides have stated that the strategic nature of the development of their relationship at present and future stages remained constant. They have also outlined the most promising avenues of expanding the current mutually advantageous cooperation between Ukraine and the People’s Republic of China.
Mr. Ihor Zhovkva has introduced the outcomes of recent presidential elections in Ukraine. In her turn, Ms. Wang Min stated that the Chinese Side fully respected the choice of the Ukrainian people.
