On 2 December 2020 Ambassador of Ukraine to China Serhii Kamyshev met with Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Mr. Qian Hongshan. A wide range of issues on the agenda of Ukraine-China relations were discussed during the meeting.

The key topic was the intensification of high-level bilateral contacts and the resumption of the practice of exchanging visits in a post-COVID-19 era. Areas of inter-parliamentary and inter-party cooperation, as well as cooperation between the two countries on the international arena were also discussed. Mr. Qian Hongshan expressed his principal support to the joint steps proposed by Ukraine to boost bilateral cooperation.

The interlocutors also paid attention to some historical stages in the development of bilateral relations, exchanged information on the domestic political situation in their countries and outlined the prospects for cooperation in the humanitarian field.
