25 November 2020 Ambassador of Ukraine to the People's Republic of China S.Kamyshev visited Wuhan University and met with its staff and students.

During a long and friendly dialogue, the Ambassador recalled interesting pages of Ukrainian history, described the advantageous position of our state on the geopolitical map of the world, and explained for the audience the achievements and prospects of bilateral relations.

The long history of twinning relations Kyiv – Wuhan and Kyiv region – Hubei province was repeatedly mentioned During the meeting. The participants were also keenly interested in the information about the Ukrainian pilot Hryhorii Kulishenko, inextricably linked with their city, who in 1939 gave his life helping the Chinese people defend the independence.

After the event, Ambassador S.Kamyshev held a meeting with Mr. Li Xiaoshu, Director of the Department of International Exchanges of Wuhan University, and Mr. Ma Xiao, Dean of the Institute of Foreign Languages of Wuhan University. The two sides discussed prospects of cooperation between the University and the Embassy, as well as certain issues of cooperation with Ukrainian universities.
