Meeting of the Ambassador of Ukraine with the Leadership of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government

On 10 December 2025 in Shanghai, Ambassador of Ukraine to the People’s Republic of China Olexander Nechytaylo held a meeting with Mr. Zhu Min, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as opportunities to enhance interregional cooperation.

On 10 December 2025, within the framework of a regional visit to Shanghai, Ambassador of Ukraine to the PRC Olexander Nechytaylo visited the Hongqiao International Central Business District.

A meeting was held with Mr. Kong Fuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of the Hongqiao International Central Business District.

The parties discussed the role of the Hongqiao area in attracting international business, as well as possible formats of cooperation with Ukrainian companies and regions.

On 11 December 2025 in Shanghai, Ambassador of Ukraine to the PRC Olexander Nechytaylo met with representatives of the Chinese business community.

During the event, the Ambassador presented the current economic situation in Ukraine, its investment potential, and outlined possible areas of cooperation in the agro-industrial sector, logistics, energy, and high technologies.

Representatives of Chinese businesses expressed their interest in maintaining and further developing practical cooperation with Ukrainian partners, including the implementation of investment projects and the search for new formats of interregional trade and economic cooperation.

On 12 December 2025 in Hangzhou, Ambassador of Ukraine to the PRC Olexander Nechytaylo met with Mr. Jin Heng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government.

The parties discussed prospects for developing interregional contacts, particularly in trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian fields. The Ukrainian side expressed its interest in deepening cooperation with Zhejiang Province and the city of Hangzhou as one of China’s leading centers of digital economy and technological innovation.

On 11 December 2025 in Hangzhou, Ambassador of Ukraine to the PRC Olexander Nechytaylo met with Mr. Li Liumen, Executive Director of the Paton Welding Technology Research Institute in Zhejiang Province.

The discussion focused on the Institute’s current activities and its role as one of the most successful overseas platforms of Ukrainian science in China.

Special attention was paid to the engagement of Ukrainian specialists in the Institute’s work and the further development of joint projects.

On 12 December 2025, within the framework of a regional visit to Hangzhou, Ambassador of Ukraine to the PRC Olexander Nechytaylo visited Hangzhou Normal University.

A meeting was held with Vice President of the University Mr. Tang Ruikang, during which issues of academic cooperation were discussed.

The Ambassador also met with faculty members of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University who are involved in a joint educational project at the university in Hangzhou.
