The event provided an important opportunity to bring together the Ukrainian community and friends of Ukraine around shared traditions, spiritual values, and an atmosphere of mutual support.
The event commenced with welcome remarks by the Minister Counsellor Andrii Serhiienko, as well as representatives of the community. Archimandrite Lavrentii of the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery also addressed participants via a video message. Following a joint prayer near the Chapel of Saints Volodymyr and Olha Equal-to-the-Apostles, the traditional blessing of Easter baskets took place.
After the official part, guests joined a festive reception, where they had the opportunity to enjoy traditional Ukrainian Easter dishes and engage in warm, informal communication in a family-like atmosphere.
The artistic programme featured performances by virtuoso pianists Andrii Yudian and Olha Loboda, as well as by the choir “Nezlamni”, who created a vibrant musical and dance atmosphere.
With the support of Plast in Beijing, children took part in Easter egg painting and other creative activities. Festive face painting also brought particular joy to the youngest participants.
An important component of the programme was the Easter lecture: representatives of the Hadyach Museum joined the event online to deliver a presentation on Ukrainian Easter traditions. Throughout the event, a photo zone and a charity souvenir stand were also available at the Embassy premises.
The event served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen ties within the Ukrainian community, as well as to promote Ukrainian culture, traditions, and spiritual heritage among international partners and friends of Ukraine.
The Embassy expresses its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the organization of the celebration and helped create a warm and festive Easter atmosphere.
