The last few days the Embassy’s diplomats were engaged in accomplishing smoothly the “Ukraine-China Sky Bridge” humanitarian endeavor, aimed at transporting Chinese medical supplies and equipment to Ukraine.

This task envisaged day to day communication with Chinese authorities, customs agents and Chinese suppliers around the matters of collecting and processing the technical papers on humanitarian cargo, addressed to our country, as well as getting the relevant permits.

Thereby the preconditions for a steady transfer of medical supplies to Ukraine were met in compliance with stricter measures in China, imposed on April, for the export of medical goods. 

26 of more than 30 donors of the aid have already stored their packages in a specially designated warehouse facility. Total volume of the medical supplies has amounted to more than 110 cubic meters.

The Embassy of Ukraine expresses its deep gratitude to our Chinese friends, who showed their goodwill to support Ukraine in its battle against COVID-19.
