On 18 December 2025 in Beijing, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Sergiy Kyslytsya held the next round of political consultations with Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Liu Bin.
The parties discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, outlined plans for high- and top-level contacts, discussed ways of enhancing trade and economic cooperation, and explored further collaboration within the framework of international organizations.
The interlocutors reaffirmed that mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity is a cornerstone of Ukraine-China relations.
The parties had a detailed exchange of views on the current situation around ongoing Russian military aggression against Ukraine, as well as on international efforts aimed at achieving sustainable and lasting peace.
As part of his working visit to Beijing, First Deputy Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya also held discussions with representatives of Chinese expert and analytical community, as well as members of diplomatic corps of partner countries.
