On 6 November 2020, the Ukrainian delegation headed by the Ambassador of Ukraine to China Serhii Kamyshev took part in the Beijing Theme Event "Creating New Chapter of Beijing's Opening-Up" which was held at the China International Import Expo (CIIE).

Before the event, Ambassador Serhii Kamyshev met with Beijing Vice-Major Yang Dzinbai. During the conversation, the sides focused on promoting of regional cooperation between the capitals of Ukraine and China, futher expanding of economic cooperation through joint investment and trade forums, as well as strengthening of the cultural component of  the cooperation.

At the forum, the top officials from the Beijing City Municapality outlined the key directions for the development of the capital for the coming years, dwelled upon the Beijing Pilot Free Trade Zone, as well as highlighted the  preparations for the China International Fair for Trade Services (CIFTIS) and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, etc.
